Hi! Katie here…
I’m a music therapist and I’m addicted to Pinterest, organizing, and making spaces look pretty. I think that organization can be incredibly satisfying and make you happy (thank you Netflix for Marie Kondo and The Home Edit!).
Music therapy found me as the perfect way to make a career out of serving others through my connection to music. Along the way, I’ve enjoyed being an emergency medical technician and youth leader, and I believe these roles have enhanced my ability to be a clinician.
I’m also a military spouse, which creates a lot of opportunities like living in four of the seven AMTA regions (I’m hoping to check off all seven someday!). Military life comes with its own unique challenges in developing long-term clinical relationships, but it also presents an intersection of opportunity for service delivery and the critical needs of underserved populations. I’ve loved serving in local, state, and regional leadership roles, planning conferences, and helping to develop clinical contracts, community partnerships, academic and practical courses, and an internship program.
While there are so many things I love about clinical work, I found that the things that really excite me about being a music therapist are researching new interventions and therapeutic supports, productivity and organizational hacks, and creating systems that make all aspects of employment as a music therapist more efficient.
(These are a few of my favorite things…Yes, I’m a nerd!)

I’m so inspired by the many music therapists who have built businesses and continue to grow them using skills they learned on their own and strengthened along the way.
I love exploring what makes others successful, and researching ways to reduce or eliminate the things that eat up precious time and create stress.
I’m a problem-solver who is passionate about finding where my skills and experience can improve the needs of the community and being a music therapist and business owner gives me the tools to understand your needs.
I want to help connect you with the resources you need to make your daily business or clinical work a simple, effortless, and enjoyable process!
